Eligibility:

You're eligible if you:

are a UQ student who has studied at least 2 units of Japanese courses
are an Australian citizen
have been accepted into an exchange program at a Japanese university
have not previously undertaken Japanese language studies in Japan

Selection criteria:

We'll consider:

your GPA in the Japanese courses you have studied
your financial need as demonstrated via your application
how you will benefit from exposure to the language and the cultural exchange while in Japan via a statement in your application

About this scholarship:

Established in 1994 and maintained by the income from a fund donated by the Brisbane Homestay and Friendship Association.
